This two-phase project consisted of the building of a new 7-story hospital, central utility plant, hospital support building, and parking structure on Kearny Mesa Boulevard. This new facility was at one point one of San Diego’s most valuable structures project and is provided centralized tertiary services for San Diego County and functions as a partial replacement facility for the current San Diego Medical Center. With 450 beds, it exceeds necessary bed capacity and accommodate projected membership growth.
Twining provided around-the-clock materials testing and the full scope inspection services in accordance with the HCAI approved testing, inspection, and observation program, and as directed by the Inspector of Record in order to keep construction on schedule. Our field inspectors maintained and updated their reports for all testing and inspections by utilizing Kaiser’s National Inspection Services’ Inspection services Project Tracking Program (PTP) on a daily basis.
